My name is Christina (aka Cria) and I was diagnosed with diabetes on August 5, 2006 at 27 years old. At the time I was told I was Type 2 but I know now that I am Type 1, more specifically LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults) which is treated like Type 1.
